May 4th will mark the first Trinidad Art Night of the 2012 season! Last year was already amazing and inspirational, the perfect foundation for a home-grown Trinidad Art Movement!

Trinidad recently lost one of it's prize residents, Ned Simmons. So in rememberance, Ned's Gallery, the Trinidad Art Gallery, will be open with a reading of Ned's poetry and music by the Pilot Rock Rambler's.

Trinidad Art Nights!

Tonight Friday June 3 at 6pm - free

Downtown Trinidad, California

Trinidad Art Nights!  with 15 businesses and venues participating as well as The Redwood Express, horse drawn wagon rides, and an after hours Town Hall extravaganza with The Rezonators (rock from Humboldt) and Sierra Rose (local folk). The Westhaven Fire Dept will be serving drinks and there will be a small $5 cover at the door. Featured artists in the hall will be Susan Mortan and Jeff Stanley. An all ages event that will directly support the community

The Halibut take is hot here off the Humboldt County coast. I've been out twice in the last two weeks. First time boat limit of three, mine was 42lbs. went again 5-24-11, boat limit of three again, mine was 60lbs. Salmon bite has been mixed, but when it is on, it is hot. Weather has been a factor, but starting to clear up some.
